Carrington has been awful. Girard goes off towards end of 1st half. Our offense is stagnant. We seem to run no plays to get guys open and get good shots. Then too much one-on-one and forced shots. We have our work cut out to come back.

Maybe credit Clemson’s defense, but yeah, we had almost zero rhythm to our offense leaving poor looks and shot selection.
Overall defensive effort from Pitt has been anemic. If that's the way they play defense, we won't be winning many games against even mediocre teams.
Carrington has been erratic at best. We need more consistency and steadiness from him. Careless turnovers and too much dribbling around just to either miss a shot or turn it over. The one-on-one playground ball won't cut it.
Still have a half to play. It will have to be a complete turnaround with the defense for us to have a chance in this one.

Clemson plays defense the way I wish we would. Same with Missouri. They aggressively pressure the Pitt player with the ball on every possession. Carrington with 3 turnovers just in the first half, one unforced and completely careless. He needs to quit reading his press clippings. He's having a hard time at this level. How can he think about the NBA?
Clemson's starting frontcourt has 15 rebounds at the half. Pitt's starting frontcourt with Hinson and Fede have 3 rebounds. Fede has 1 rebound in this game, which came on offense. We are -5 in rebound margin because of our frontcourt getting crushed.
Pitt is getting outscored 9-5 in 2nd chance points and 7-2 in fastbreak points.
Not a good half by either freshmen for Pitt.
Fede and the twins stink. This team is going nowhere. Lost year after tournament last year. Could’ve built on it

Passing to Fede on offense has become useless. There is no point even passing to him unless its a lob dunk.
We have got this guy the ball so many times throughout the season within 3 feet of the basket and he either ends up passing it back out or taking a shot that generally isnt close to going in because he has zero skill to score in the inside. Or one of our guards turns it over trying to get him the ball.
We have a center that is a total non threat on offense and cant rebound on defense or in general. He is a lot closer to Terrell Brown than Gary Mcghee. What a disappointment.

We can't play defense and rebound the way we did today and expect to win many if any games. Clemson gave us a clinic on how to run an inside out, passing offense. What do we do? We have Bub dribbling all over the place and missing shots for most of the game until it's too late. Other than Hinson and Leggett, who helped out?
