The early season success may have been the worst thing that could have happened to him.
We are holding Syracuse to under 70% from 3 point range. We are playing like a team who could go 2-18 or 3-17. I can't believe this.

We're now in the process of losing badly to a bad 'Cuse team. Name a team on Pitt's future schedule that Pitt might beat, realistically. There isn't one.
I hate to be down on Jeff Capel after last year, but he's a very bad coach. I don't even know if he can recruit from the looks of it. Talented players eventually have their talent show through against good teams. None of the current Pitt roster has shown that. And that's on Capel's head for the lack of coaching and development.
We're not scoring at least 80. We're going to lose. This team is really bad. Not quite Stallings level bad, but there's still some games to play this year.

It's kinda funny how we went from "we need some contributions from Jaland Lowe" before the ACC season to "Jaland Lowe might be the best player on this team."
Lowe IS the best player on this team. If it weren't for him, we'd be down by 25+. Hinson and Bub are invisible. The twins are getting manhandled. The rest of the team is just standing around after the first 5 minutes of the first half.
Probably the biggest issue is we have 2 freshmen in the backcourt. How many ACC freshmen are playing more than them?
No, our biggest issue is the coach sucks. Lowe has been really good. He's not the problem.

I'll revise that. Lowe is the best player on this Pitt team by a substantial amount. He's exhausted having to carry this team, because no one else is doing a thing. It's 1 against 5 right now.
I'm amazed too. I'm 54 and haven't touched a basketball in 10 years at least and I would be disappointed if I didn't make 40% from 3pt line with nobody guarding me of course. I have to be able to make 30% for sure.

This is the same 'Cuse team that just lost to UNC by 36, I think. And that was after UNC put the brakes on and let up on them.

Good PG's can step in and make a big difference with a good team, hard to believe Lowe won't be enticed to go to a better program that is a PG away from contending.
