Nothing can take the bad taste in my mouth that still exists after watching the Miami game.
Maybe seeing new true 2019 look had the boys distracted at The U? Didn't they get fitted for a new jersey just last week?

The original school colors actually are what Pitt wears now, believe it or not. And (gasp!) the block Pitt predates script.
The heinz mustard yellow would be better.

My .02, I like the new “retro” uniforms because we look unique and not like WVU or ND. However, I get why people want to go back to our “true” colors. The hoodies on the far top left are a good example of that:

People should realize by now, if you don't like the colors or specific details of the uniform for the coming year, just have some patience. Because especially if the teams are lousy, they'll hustle out a new color scheme, or logo, or design change of some sort to distract the masses.
There has been some form of pitt script as far back as the 1920's and William Pitt - whose signature is the inspiration of our logo - predates them all. Also, block lettering is generic and universal to all college teams. The drop shadow, black highlighted, arched block Pitt logo we had during the mid 00's to mid 10's doesn't even predate the dinocat.

Based on precedent i think the "school colors" are whatever the current group of interns in the AD decide it is.
Geez they don't even use the same Script logo year to year. Sometimes the ends of the i and t's are pointed, sometimes curved etc. Sometimes they leave a bizarre patch of color in the middle of the P. Heck I think ive seen versions where there's a dot on the i.
The ends were never pointed. That's a fan-made logo. Never was officially licensed by Pitt. The script hasn't changed shape. Ever.
That is for the current colors. Unless some of you are suggesting that the current colors are the original?

The Script is the Script all unlicensed non official variants are just that.... not official though I’ve seen the same thing out there...
Be wary if you buy something with anything other than the official version you’re basically getting some knockoff... I’ve seen hats stickers etc online that basically aren’t real... pointy Ts etc...
