Throughout the summer, Taysir Mack saw other transfers in FBS receiving immediate eligibility from the NCAA and, inevitably, he wondered why he hadn’t received the same waiver.

On Thursday, Mack got it.

Calling it a “great day,” Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi announced on Friday that Mack will be eligible to play for the Panthers in 2018. He joined Pitt as a transfer from Indiana this offseason and will be a redshirt sophomore in the fall.

I'm so excited I could scream. Tremendous news IMO as i was having some doubts about the WR # 2's listed the other day. Mack should challenge the 1's for a spot this coming week.

One guy can make a big difference because the competition for PT makes every individual receiver better, which makes the receiving corps better, which causes the opposing defense to make more accounting of the pass, which makes the running game better, which keeps the Pitt defense off the field longer, which makes the defense stronger, which makes the team better, or so it would seem to me.
