They did not, however, draw 30,000 people. Even the best soccer market in the US couldn't make that happen, let alone one of the worst.
I think if you marketed the heck out of it, you have Labor Day Sunday, Rib Fest, PSU students home for the long weekend, cheap tickets, men/women doubleheader, I really think they can get 20K if it became some sort of annual Labor Day weekend tradition. Like emails to every youth team, HS team, maybe some mini-youth tournament on the Great Lawn and at Point State Park. If they did it right, I think they could get that and it would be great for the city
