Hearing at least two commits today. One being Davis and the other a wide receiver. Need both
Pitt is certainly IT, but Davis isn't. I don't really care either way, but this is a kid without a position. I'm not sure what the plan would be for him.
I'm more than happy if Davis is one of the commits I'm sure we'll find a position for him
I don't understand all the butt hurt yinzers who get mad if a local kid leaves. I hope Davis comes here not because he is from here but because he is an excellent football player. You think Miami or Florida acts like that with all the kids who leave that state. Sometimes kids just want to get away from home and experience life elsewhere. If these kids get drafted the only time they get a CHOICE where they live and play would be college. When a local leaves it's not always because they think they are too good for Pitt. If it is Davis welcome brother... let's work we're chasing trophies up here.
Are we sure Davis isn’t the commit? There is no class designation with the Tweet which indicates it might be a transfer.
Plenty didn't have a position locked down after 2 years, Dorin Dickerson comes to mind. He may never see the field, but he obviously has the potential to contribute.
I agree. I never liked it either in the past. But this is a new world with the portal, and we fans have to change perspective on this situation now.

There has only been one Pat signal. Why is there speculation of 2 commits? Narduzzi usually sends out the tweet even if the kid wants to wait to go public.

The has been only one yes. Initially, I thought this was the WR, because it seemed to be tweeted before Davis really even met with the staff.

I’ve never seen the guy post before, but you always have solid post.
The kid was the No 1 prep safety in the nation. He played well in special teams, which right there is a great reason to pick him up. Hits hard, fast and strong, really don’t see any issue. I tend to prefer kids from smaller schools that kicked arse and is getting a “promotion” so to speak, but hard to debate the kids we got from big schools have done well here (Mack, Kylan Johnson, Simon, Devonshire, Krull and others)
Really it’s a no brainer, seems OSU may be after him though so he may not even end up here

Chris seems to think that Davis will play RB for Pitt. Perhaps he can have a Jordan Whitehead-type role and both spell Hammond and get some action on defense? He seems pretty versatile; hopefully we take advantage of that.

Everybody acted like the sky was falling when Minchey switched to ND. We now have a current QB, QB of future and two local high end recruits returning home

Pretty much need Cephus and Reynolds, a LB and another safety would help.
