all right I'll admit I'm lazy...but, who is doing the place kicking for Pitt this year and what are some informed (unlike me) thoughts on him?

Also, seems like Pitt might have the edge in kickoffs in the Penn State game as I just heard the "I can hit you, but do not dare not hit me" drama queen Joey Julius just left the team. Unconfirmed rumors have him eating off half of his kicking foot.

Chatter is that he has an unquestionably powerful leg with 55+ yard FG strength, but streaky accuracy in practice. Hopefully, some experience will improve consistency. He beat out 50 kickers for the walk-on roster spot last year and is now on scholarship, so he's the guy they are committed to riding.

He always reminded me of my treasured "Super Toe". Anyone else out there old enough to remember them?
was that the "Super Jock" Toy where you'd slam his head down and his leg would kick a little plastic football? It came with a plastic field goal post? If so, I had one, that was sweet..

yes...it was sometimes referred to as super toe by super jock...you could not play online though. It did, however, have the non soccer style head on squared foot Tom Dempsey kicking action..

Real classy, UPJ.
This board would go crazy if someone made a similar comment about James Conner.
You asked a good football-related question that could prompt some good discussion.
Why close out your post by being a jackhole?

oh, jeez, sjw in the house...sorry, I made a fat joke about a player from a rival team on a football message board. God forbid had I done the same thing about Joepa's gameday loose bowels and ill timed fecal discharge. Now off to the safe space for you lest I taunt you a second time.

btw...eating too much damn food is not cancer and comparisons to such are absurd. We have 250 million "eating disorder" people in the same boat in this country. I do not have the inclination to feel any one particular one is so damn special that I cannot have sport with him.

The young man has a medical issue serious enough to force him to leave his team and his school to seek treatment. Doesn't matter what the issue is or what uniform he wears. No place for that BS on a board meant for serious football discussion. There's no place for that BS period.
I'm a cancer survivor. Don't you dare lecture me on what I can and can't compare it to. James Conner is a tremendous example for people of all ages struggling with illness. Joey Julius is, too.

being a cancer survivor gives you no license to make stupid comparisons...does it?

Being a cancer survivor gives me no license whatsoever. None. Zero. Zip.
I'm lucky to be here. I'm in good health now and I'm thankful for that every single day.
I have a lot of empathy for anyone battling health issues of any kind. And I have huge respect for anyone willing to speak out about their struggles with the hope of helping even one other person in a similar situation.
It that makes me "stupid," I'll proudly wear that badge.
James Conner is a great person. And that has nothing to do with touchdowns and nothing to do with Pitt.
Joey Julius deserves kudos, too, for the way he has handled his situation.
I can't see the line between the two where one is a serious illness and the other is a joke.
But if you want to poke fun at someone struggling with his health, go for it. It's a free country.
