Today around noon, it will be announced. Unless for some crazy reason, ESPN wants to exercise the 6 day hold.

I still think staying at Station Square and taking clipper fleet over and back is the easiest thing to do if you have to travel and stay in a hotel.

Clipper serves alcohol on way to and fro if that's your thing also. 10 bucks per person and you get front door service to stadium and back to station square.

How is Marshall this season? I assume their only loss will be to Louisville when they come to Pittsburgh.

Marshall gave up 65 points and lost to the Akron Zips Saturday.

im shocked and pleasantly surprised. I've been b*tching about noon games for so long now, I don't know how to react to this..

I was wrong. I was predicting a noon game before the Pirate game but they went with the extremely rare syndicated night game.

I think this is great. Root must have really pushed for this game....and why not considering it features 2 of the 3 D1 teams in their footprint.

The only potential downside is due to the unknown length of major league baseball games (extra innings, rain delays, etc), Root is not allowed to leave the Pirate game by contract. And even if the Pirate game does bleed into the Pitt game, ESPN3/watchESPN cannot air the game live in areas with RSNs who have purchased the FSS ACC package, you run the risk of no TV, no stream for the beginning. But I'll be there.

4:15pm first pitch for the bucs. That could definitely bleed into a 7:30pm game. I'll be there but still, knowing our luck, it will be an 18 inning meangingless game..
