So new softball retro shown, and been noticing on most retros this year besides basketball and football they go with a diffrent style number font (not posting a pic because I'm sure a lot you seen these unis already or have means of finding them) from glance they are not the same font as the original Sb numbers either. Also seems with primary FB and MBB are the only ones use the cathedral cut numbers.

I like the standard block for the retro uniforms as is. But if once the roll out starts if they decide to go with a universal font for all sports which would you like to see.
If you prefer block , also add a second choice as I'm guessing block will be a rather high choice for most and knowing Nike and such it may very well not be.

I'm on the fence about the new style numbers going around other athletics, looks okay on say a soccer or volleyball jersey, but perhaps a little too childish, for a college football jersey in today's world. But I don't think I would hate it if it was thrown on them, as could be worse.

P.S. I hated the cathedral numbers when first revealed but they have grown on me with this set. A small part me if they don't keep block with retro colors I'd just want then to keep the same style uniforms now stripes and number style all, lose the collar on the roads and add stripe to the pants and call it a done deal.

They should make a contest to pick the most stylish fonts and maybe make a completely new design. For example, you can get inspired from https://upfonts.com/thinking-of-betty-font/. I don't know. It sounds like something fun for me that can even improve the relationships between players and their fans.
I like the new font as well, but in my opinion, new is always better than something old. So, it's an excellent way to do a complete restyle. Keep in mind.

I like the cathedral font because it gives Pitt fans something else to complain about.
That… and they actually look good

not a fan of generic Sears catalog block numerals from the 1960s…

heck even the Stillers have their own special font for numbers…

The Steelers have a different font so as to sell more crap.

And like the Steelers, the block numbers for Pitt are miles ahead of this cathedral crap.

Nike, once again turning chicken salad into chicken s$%t

Agree. There are ways to make the block numbers look good. I don't like the cathedral numbers but it's not a big deal.

What ever the normal, no brainer solution is, pitt will choose the other one. Torch cut lol. Only pitt.

Small number in front with larger number in back like every other team in every other sport on every other uniform ever?? Nope, not at Pitt.

I prefer the block numbers, but I will say that the Cathedral font has grown on me.

However, if I were charged with tweaking the uniforms, I’d put a yellow facemask on the helmets and switch the home uniforms to white numbers with gold outlines, along with gold name plates Nike logos. I always thought this would be the best way to create a modern look while paying homage to the “golden era” of Pitt football.

The Stillers have had that font for years now maybe decades… I doubt they’re worried about making more money. The point is they have their own font. So do many many NFL and NCAA schools.
