Pitt/NY

Saint Louis and Pitt are expected to play a neutral site game at the Barclays Center on 11/21, per a source. Game is expected to tip in the afternoon prior to the Preseason NIT.

Ironically, Stallings was going to take SLU before Barnes made his pitch.

This could be part of the ACC/A10 Challenge. Was supposed to be 2 games per year for 4 years but they didn't do any last year so I think that event is dead. So, its probably one of those "fake tournaments" with 3 cupcakes at home and then a neutral-siter similar to the Goth Classic with that Pitt/Davidson game at MSG on at noon on an NFL Sunday, watched by Pitt diehards and Davidson diehards and nobody else

That's the only way a game like that makes any sense.

St Louis seems to have bottomed out after a couple lousy years and had a semi decent team last season.

May end up being a tough game for a Pitt.

Many/most games will be tough for Pitt. I believe SLU has some solid transfers on their roster and I'd imagine they'll favored, but we have 5 months to worry ha.

I did a little digging, and St. Louis might be the best team in the A10 next year. They had one of those "drunk girl in a player's dorm room" scandals that cost them their best players last year. Apparently, they'll be at full strength this year, and Travis Ford is said to have been recruiting very well since he got there. Double checking, they have four 4 star players, and six 3 star guys. That's a mid pack P5 level of talent. If Ford is any kind of coach, they should wreck the A10 over the next few years, and should probably handle this year's Pitt team. This will be a good test as to how we'll do against the second tier ACC teams.

Per bloggingthebrackets.com, this is accurate. The game is part of a MTE where Pitt will also play 3 home games.
