For Jaylen Curry, the trip he took from his home in North Carolina to Pittsburgh on Tuesday was meant to be an opportunity to check out Pitt’s campus and spend some time around the coaching staff.
The 2023 guard prospect at J.L. Chambers High School in Charlotte had been in contact with Pitt’s coaches, so he thought it would be a worthwhile trip.
“I wanted to see what it was like,” Curry told Panther-Lair.com Tuesday night.
As it turns out, the Pitt coaches wanted to do more than meet Curry in person.
