We've previously discussed the Pitt coaching staff's plans to attend satellite camps across the country in Gainesville (Fla.) with the University of Florida staff on June 14th and in scenic Piscataway (N.J.) on June 17th with the Rutgers staff. Today, I confirmed an additional planned satellite camp today that you all can add to the list, one that had previously not been unveiled.

On June 13th, Pitt will be sending coaches to the Athens (Ga.) to work with the University of Georgia coaching staff. June 13th will be a double-whammy day for the Dawgs, as they'll be hosting many of the Peach State's best high school teams for a 7v7 tournament on campus. At the same time, they'll have an individual camp for offensive and defensive linemen from all over the country.

This is a good opportunity for Pitt to work alongside Kirby Smart's coaching staff to mine a state that has really separated itself from a lot of competition and emerged, in my opinion, as a definitive top four state in producing high school football talent. Kevin Sherman has opened a lot of doors in the Atlanta area for Pitt and I would expect Sherman and Rob Harley, who also recruits parts of Georgia, to be at this camp. I can't say that for sure, but it would make a lot of sense knowing their territories.

Pitt's offered 24 prospects in the state of Georgia in the 2018 recruiting class to date, 20 of whom remain uncommitted. We'll be working with the staff on our Georgia Rivals site to confirm visitors for this event and get an idea of who will be around for the Pitt staff to see, but I'm sure it will also be valuable in adding new offers for the Panthers.

As a reminder, Pitt still has one-day camps planned on their own campus for the 10th and 11th, the latter being another invite-only event like what we saw today. June 11th will also be a camp for the specialists, if you're into long-snappers, punters, and kickers. June 24th and 25th will be a team 7v7 passing camp like Pitt hosts for the Pittsburgh area schools every year. Those events are always supplemented by some individual one-on-one workouts in the indoor facilities for the Panthers (TJ Banks laid the groundwork for his offer there last summer).

We'll continue to have extensive coverage of the summer prospect camps for Pitt moving forward as they work to continue their June momentum.
