Literally anyone can give effort. You and I could go on the court and give effort. That’s the bare minimum so not sure it’s worth celebrating.
Yea. Ok. Doesn’t matter if it’s 5 freshmen or 5 seniors. Effort is the bare minimum from anyone at any level.
And it’s amusing how you always have the bravery to call people names and speak the way you do on the internet. Laughable.
I agree with you. He is an idiot. I am so sick of reading about these so called experts on this board knocking these guys and the coach. These five freshman were all in HS a year ago and didn't even know each existed. Now they're thrust into ACC play and some on this board feel as though they should be making the impact of a veteran team. It gets tiring after a while.
You're not wrong but given that our two NBA players last year gave negative effort it is at least somewhat refreshing
Ok I’ll bite. Why am I an idiot then? I didn’t do any of what you ranted about. All I said was effort isn’t something to celebrate. I’d expect efffort from a grade school team.
And for what it’s worth I haven’t knocked any of the players at all. Not a fan of Stallings but I’ve been consistent in saying even tho I’m not optimistic he deserves a chance.

Just my opinion that effort shouldn’t be lauded. That should be a given whether you play for Duke or CCAC. It’s the lowest bar possible other than I guess showing up.
And as I said above the call out last year was legit. It did appear there was plenty of loafing and selfishness. I don’t know how Stallings handled it. But I heard Donovan Mitchell the other day. He admitted to quitting in a game where Ville was getting smoked. Said it was the only time in his life he gave up. At practice Pitino sent him to the tread mills and ran him near to death. Not jogging - running. He said the trainer had to attend to adjust the speed so they wouldn’t drop over.
Would I take Kentucky's Freshmen basketball players over ours? Absolutely.

No Pitts players aren’t even on their radar ! I want their fall back guys but they go to places like Kansas , Duke ....
