Norfolk (Va.) Lake Taylor running back Malik Newton is very high on Pitt's running back board, and we've been keeping an eye on him recently. He told me two weeks ago that he knew what school he wanted to go to and would be committing soon. Obviously that hasn't happened yet, but I heard back from him last night that he will be announcing his commitment "very soon."
We've been saying that we like Pitt's chances here, as Newton could provide a big back to complement Rodney Hammond in the 2021 class. He didn't give me an exact date for his commitment, but I think it really could happen at any time.
