Vegas 16 (which only invited 8 teams???) 0-0

CIT 0-0

CBI 4-0

wins over Duquesne, Morehead State, Eastern Washington and Western Carolina

NIT 4-2
won and lost against both Virginia Tech & Georgia Tech
beat Florida State and Davidson

NCAA 5-5
beat Syracuse 3 times, Duke, and Notre Dame
lost to UNC twice, Miami, Virginia, and Purdue

So we're 13-7 against teams invited to post-season tournaments, what does that mean, absolutely nothing, just a stat to look at.

Also, we were 8-2 against teams that didn't get invited to post-season play, losing to NCState and Clemson, plus we lost twice to Louisville who declared themselves ineligible for post-season play)

Thanks for taking the time to pull this together.

Obviously no way to connect that info to outcomes on Friday night, but it should boost confidence that Pitt can win.

Of the 9 losses
- VT & GT losses were anyone's game
- UNC game was close thru 30 mins
- I thought Pitt could have won both Louisville games (in first one they just need to score 60,in second one they just need a better last few minutes)
- Miami game was very winnable

In NCAA tournament games the lower seed generally takes on the role of home team since most fans want to see an upset. Pitt should benefit from being the underdog if they can keep game close in last 5 minutes or if they are winning
