Not a political thread! I’ve come to this site and other Pitt sites for years because obviously I’m a big Pitt fan. These sites give us a chance to talk about Pitt sports, recruiting, game threads etc. I enjoy Peak/Jim and have to say the national guys on 24/7 are providing coverage/articles daily & interact with us unlike that blue and white clown Adam Gorney.
Im going to give Paul & co a chance because the more Pitt coverage the better. If I don’t like it I’ll cancel my month to month.
A few of you are trolls but for the most part there is one thing we all have in common…we love Pitt sports.
I don’t know what political affiliation Peak/Jim are. And before today I didn’t know what political affiliation Paul Z was (guess cause Im not on twitter & haven’t lived in PGH for years ) & I could care less about any of the political beliefs of the people who cover Pitt sports. I just care about their actual Pitt coverage.
From the few political threads, I’ve actually looked at I can tell you one thing that is a fact. You argue back-and-forth, but never change each other’s minds. Why stress yourselves out?
Sportscaster Michael Kay, can’t say I’m a fan, but he has a saying that puts things into perspective IMO. To paraphrase, sports are the candy shop, sports are an escape from reality. Guys like many of you I have been through some tough shit in my life. And during some of those times, even if it was just for a few hours watching a Pitt game allowed me to escape from reality for a little bit.
Now I will step down from my soapbox. H2P!
