Well, Coach Pat & Staff beat Duke showing his coaching of Complete Teams arrived with an outright win but that was without the Duke QB, so was Pitt lucky, NOPE! Yet Coach Pat still beat Cutcliffe a prior SEC and ACC Coach of the Year that knows his Football. So, I wanted to see it against a Big Bobby Petrino that wins anyone he coaches, has recruited much more talent, and had his Team playing at their best after losing to FSU, Auburn, Clemson and Houston by a tad. Coach Pat & Staff & Players did it by Half Time! Again with Complete Teams and could have ran away with the game even bigger if not for some bad Ref Calls. I now know Coach Pat & Staff have arrived and finally got his his players executing in all 3 phases by the 10th and 11th games after changing the attitudes in the preseason and first 9 games that takes time. This was a remarkable achievement against Pelini, Bowden, Beamer, Johnson, London, Cutcliffe and now Petrino. These were and are all Very Good Coaches that have been many more years at their Programs with stable staffs and better recruiting classes and Coach Pat out coached them all. In addition, Coach Pat had his Players playing tough without quitting against all Top Five Ranked Teams with far more talent in Ferents's 11-0 Iowa, and Kelly's 10-1 ND, and Fedora's 10-1 UNC, and in Narduzzi's first year? The Players were not ready for those games but they learned after every loss and finally started to execute what Coaches were teaching them. This is what Great Coaching does by that improving his Teams the more they play. When Football Experts consider Coach Pat did this with a New Staff, New QB, and without ACC Player of the Year in Conner with a Freshmen Running Back, plus OL injuries, and rebuilt Defense with Special Teams, only a dummy can't see he is a Fine Coach and will be even better! Anyone can see all Players being "coached up" by "Attitude" and "Execution" every week now! This is exactly what I and Pitt Fans have been waiting for since 1980s? Even Coach Narduzzi said, he wish his Players could play Iowa, UNC, and ND right now, and that just exudes confidence from Coach Pat to his Coaches to his Players and on all 3 Units that have become Complete Teams! Petrino's Team was not just out played but out coached and that is a big achievement! I expect this Pitt Team will beat Miami and win their Bowl Game now. Pitt has a Coach that will stay and build this Pitt Program, watch and see, and enjoy!!! Reminds me of what happen under Johnny Majors in 1973 along with an Athletic Director that listens to Coach Narduzzi instesd of lecturing him! The Fans are sky high now, but not the Coach or Players they are just are pure confident in their coaches and their coaches in them! Two more wins to go to get 10 Wins Done in 2015 and far bigger and better wins to come. My Prognostic Grades like Vegas were not as good because Pitt Coaches & Players were so Great! I'll eat crow anytime if that is the meal these Pitt Coaches & Staff serve me with such a Great Win every game! I was way off but I am so happy to be a Pitt Fan and good portending games will come! Pitt has a Very Good Coach to Great Coach and he is just getting started at Pitt and his Players are responding on execution and well coached and I no longer have to worry about it anymore, but now will expect PITT IS IT!!!
PITT-Ulou Game Day Pick!
As I saw it in August until Pitt Coach Pat & Staff could show me they can beat ULou’s Coach Petrino & Staff then I cannot pick Pitt. After all, ULou has lost very close games to Auburn, Clemson, Houston and lost to FSU? Well, one lives to change his mind. Now my guess for this upcoming game will be if Pitt Defense can stop or confuse ULou’s young QBs Bolin and Jackson. Alternatively, if Pitt's Offense can play as well as they did against Duke they can win this game on its own. Coach Pat & Staff has earned the respect and advancement of upgrading Pitt Football with good game day plans and half time adjustments to take on Petrino’s superb coaching, in my view. The Cardinals are great on Defense with the kind of talent that can hurt Pitt’s Offensive Game Plan. ULou’s Offense is showing consistently too making it tougher for Pitt to win. Therefore, Pitt has to play its best game again with all 3 Units in all 4 Quarters just as they did against Duke! Both Pitt & ULou are complete Teams now, this is what Very Good and Great Coach's do, they coach up their Players by the 11th game. Consequently, I see it coming down to what QB rattles first into making mistakes. Again, Even-Steven for both outcomes there too, making it a tougher game to call depending on how players respond on execution? UVA that Pitt barely beat was able to score on ULou by passing in the last game! Pitt’s Peterman has woken up the offense with all weapons showing up in the Duke game. Special Teams will help decide this game due to the Even-Steven types of play both Teams are playing right now. As well as great coaching game plans and half time adjustments now Hallmarks at Pitt finally after 30 years. I have been waiting for some Pitt Punt and Kick-Off TDs Returns and maybe Pitt will get one on Saturday? I am high on this Pitt Coaching Staff and players hanging with ULou’s too. Still, Pitt Players cannot have drop passes, miss sacks, blocks and runs, and little turnovers? The Panthers win a close one by some Panther Paws grabbing a one or two Cardinal Air Balls and winning it by a late kick!
