UNC is off to a solid start - but unremarkable wins. Haven’t played a ranked team.

Would expect Pitt to over match this team.

Other than a win, I’d like to Bayless have a confidence building match and I’d like to see a bit more of the 5-1 we saw vs Duke. It was fun to watch so many offensive players on the floor at the same time—- really hard to defend.

Also like to VVG find her mojo a bit — she was a little off against UMBC and thought she sort of emerged again late vs Duke .

Pressed a bit in the 1st set .

PItt’s block and defense is dominant. Must be demoralizing for decent teams like UNC to play good offense- but just get the ball sent back over and over again.

Bit of a shorter rotation - only Monks , Mosley , Flood and Griffin rotating in outside of the starting 6 . Flood and Griffin as service specialists.

Pitt 3 UNC 0....match over. Reminded me of Duke on Friday in that UNC played hard and hung with Pitt every set...only to see Pitt wear them out, pull away, and win. Stafford and Babcock shine again. This is becoming very enjoyable. Boston College and Syracuse coming up next at the Fitzgerald. Pitt has not lost a set in their last 5 matches.

What a difference when Fairbanks plays-she is so good! I was concerned during the first set with the poor serve reception, but they settled in for the rest of the match. What strikes me about this team is how much better they are at defense. Their blocking is obviously dominant, but they're doing so much better at picking up the "junk" balls-block coverage, etc.; and turning them into legitimate offensive plays. They are so fun to watch!
