PITT-UNC Or TCU-WVU TV Ratings!

It will be interesting which game gets the higher TV Ratings tonight. For those that follow that, please post the results on TV ratings tomorrow.

By the way, checked out Pitt Future Schedule next year, and Pitt will be playing Oklahoma State the next two years and then we can see how Pitt does in the Big-12?

I would guess a top 5 exciting team like TCU would get better ratings when playing a team with a decent following like WVU. UNC would get more for basketball. Being on ESPN and having two competive teams in PITT and UNC will make it close. The guys on XM college football said they were more interested in the PITT game and had little interest in th ASU-Oregon game also being played tonight.

I will be interested to see how many of these football fans turn the channel at 8:20 to watch undefeated New England against Miami. That game will be damaging ratings wise to the Pitt and WVU games.

TCU is likely to obliterate WVU and Pitt-UNC should be close so in the end more people are likely to watch the Pitt game.

The NFL game will no doubt have the highest ratings. TCU is the highest ranked college team playing tonight, so they'll probably get a lot of viewers. However, Pitt is on ESPN as opposed to TCU being on FS1, so I really doubt the casual football watcher is going to find the TCU game and will probably watch Pitt-UNC if they're looking for college football tonight.

The NFL game will lead all of television. That's obvious. I believe Pitt/UNC will beat TCU/WVCC by a significant margin. TCU is good but the casual NE sports fan still never heard of them and that makes a big difference. UNC and Pitt are brand names in the NE and the fact its on ESPN instead of FS1 helps. The Big 12 isnt the lowest rated onference for nothing. They have a tiny geographic footprint. Texas and a few states nobody lives in.

I'm more interested to see what happens locally. I'd predict

1. Penguins
2. Patriots
3. Panthers
4. Mountain Qu.....

The Pitt game will draw a better number than the WVU game. No doubt about it.
