Tonight's game winner comes down to a very simple concept tonight IMO..... Pace.
If Pitt is to win this game they need to necessitate running in transition, shooting 3's and playing up tempo off of Miss St misses.
If Miss St is to win this game they want it played in the 50's and 60's and if they dictate this, Pitt will struggle big time on the offensive end and lose the game.
First 10 minutes of this game should be VERY telling and if I'm Pitt, even if it means taking a few bad shots early I'd highly suggest early and quick offense. Taking 20, 25 seconds off the shot clock every possesion is not Pitt's game. They should dare Miss State to run with them.
I have a real hard time seeing a game played in the 70's being lost by Pitt.
