Pitt vs Wisconsin

in St Loius, East Region

Reposting the leaked bracket because CBS absolutely sucks this year with their absolutely painful selection show.

I always thought each region had one of the playin games but I am probably wrong

Lower seed than we should've been, but Pitt is in a solid spot to make a run. If the shots fall for Pitt, they're not going to go out easy. Somewhat pleased with where we're at.

Usually around 9ish. A Friday game makes calling in sick more of an option especially giving me an excuse to stay up late on Thursday

The other regions are spoakane, St louis, Oklahoma city, Brooklyn. My guess st Louis gets like a 1245, 315, 745, 1015 starts.

To those of you who think this is an even slightly easier bracket with a chance of us getting out of the first weekend: pass that bottle.
I don't think we are one of the teams that can take advantage of that. Don't rely on old impressions of Xavier.

I don't think we have any legit beef about the seed, we went limping into the postseason losing 3 of our last 4 and with only 1 RPI top 25 win. Plus I think we have a pretty good draw all the way around.

All in all about as good as could have been hoped for.

IMHO, seed is accurate enough. We are #34 in average computer rankings and worse case #38 or #39 in our "recent" Sagarin rating. That is a range between a #2 9 seed and a #3 10 seed.

There's teams that were even worse seeded higher, but I agree it's not an issue because really the seed isn't that important. Pitt got a good draw that could potentially set up well for them.

Except I don't think we match up well physically in the front court with Wisconsin.

I think Pitt got a fair draw a 10 seed, but I don't agree with a team that Pitt beat 3 times this season also is a 10 seed . Did I miss something in Syracuse ? To hear the TV pundits Syracuse got consideration because Boeheim missed the first 8 games, my goodness if Boeheim had missed those games because he was hospitalized I would understand. He was suspended for academic irregularities at Syracuse, playing players that were academically ineligible .
If Syracuse merited selection then a team that beat them on the road, at home and a neutral site should have garnered a seed higher than 10.

Their Sagarin rating would have them an 11-seed.
