More interesting than most match-up options.
Sporting News is projecting TCU vs. FSU in the Russell Athletic Bowl and Pitt vs. Arkansas in the TaxSlayer.
I don't want Arkansas.
Why not. I would love it
Path of least resistance to the most wins possible. Give me East Tennessee State
Hmmmm. Havent thought of that but if FSU beats UF and UNC beats a 12-0 Clemson team, the ACC likely gets 3 NY6 bids along with ND if they win out meaning Pitt could be the top ACC team left. Normally, we dont travel well but WVU would probably sell out the stadium by themselves if we were the opponent.....and it would be great for TV.
Would be cool, but a lot of "if's" in thereHmmmm. Ask the interim coaches. How did playing SMU and Houston work out.
Hoopies will be 8-4.9-3 Pitt vs 7-5 hoopies would be disrespect to us
We dont "normally" get to play WVU anymore. We last played them in 2012... and won't play them again until 2022.Eh, would rather see Pitt play against a team that they normally don't get to play.
It was December 1, 2007.... not December 2.have we played a Rich Rod team since December 2, 2007?
Agreed to an extent. I wouldn't mind playing arkansas...as long as its one of the first few games of the season, they are a different team as the year goes on.Path of least resistance to the most wins possible. Give me East Tennessee State
I think it's more or less impossible for the 3 ACC teams and ND to be in the NY6 and playoff, UNLESS, somehow UNC and ND make the 4 team playoff. In that case, I could see FSU and Clemson in at large bowls. I just do not think FSU and Clemson will be at large teams if UNC is in the peach bowl. I think the Big 10/Big 12 will get at least one at large between the two of them.
There are 8 spots outside the playoff, right? Let's say UNC beats Clemson, and they playoff is say, Bama-ND-Oklahoma-Ohio St. UNC is guaranteed a spot. So is SEC, so is Big 12, Big 10, PAC 12c and non p5. So that would mean only two at large spots? Would both be filled by ACC teams? Seems unlikely.
