pitt looks much settled down after fisher switched to a 6-2 lineup. Blocking improved and they were able to generate some offense.

No. Lost 5th set 15-9.

Had Kayla Lund not gotten injured last night vs Iona we might of won tonight. Tough to win vs #18 team when your best player is injured.
Not knowing much about tactics and game management...but how did pitt get caught in such a bad rotation that allowed Michigan to score like 7 straight points in the deciding set?

With the lineup change the way Pitt started it looked like they could not generate enough offense. The setter was relying on markovic to get a kill and really she just could not do it. Michigan knee what was coming and was able to get hands in front of her making her work around the block, hitting errors then happened.

Pitt is just not deep enough yet to sustain injury and beat a quality opponent most of the time

Michigan lost handily to Texas. Would love to have seen a healthy pitt team play Michigan.

The only top 8 seed that didn't make it to the Elite 8 was number 2 seed Minnesota, who lost to number 15 Oregon.

That's got to be a huge disappointment for Minnesota, what with the finals next weekend being played in Minneapolis.

And the Final Four is the three top seeds that hadn't lost yet, Stanford, Illinois and BYU, along with the highest seeded team left in the regional the Minnesota didn't win, seven seeded Nebraska.
