The Pitt women got out to a big lead and won rather handily - to be expected against MSM. Pitt's record is now 6 and 3.

Didn't make it to the game, but looks like freshman Kalista Walters had another big game - shot 8 for 13 with 3 steals. Stasha Carey also had a good game going 6 for 10. Brenna Wise led Pitt in rebounds with 9.

Good to see Fred Potvin come out of her slump making 3 out of 5 three-pointers and scoring 11 points. Going to need her contributing some points.

Next game is Saturday at Princeton. Ouch...

Go Pitt.

Thanks for update on the season, the team is young and lacks the neededd senior leadership they had last year. Will be WNIT this year and NCAA the next two.

Young team with no height. Top ACC teams have both talent and height. What Pitt does have is
a top notch coach who has legit cred in the women's basketball world. She clearly knows the game,
knows the X's and O's and can recruit. We're decent now, but the gap in women's Bball from the
elite teams to the "other" is a very wide gap. Compared to men's ball that "gap" is very different.
You see upsets where an average men's team and program can beat an elite team and program.
That simply does not happen in women's Bball at the college level. Robert Moriris beats Kentucky
in the NIT, Monmouth already with THREE major upsets this year... USC, they've both won and lost to
them so far this year, Notre Dame, and UCLA. They did lose to Dayton and Canisius which does show
that Monmouth is mid level. Their three upsets are unheard of in women's college Bball.
