Pitt WSOC vs VT

This will be a pretty interesting game. I don’t think Pitt can pull off an upset, but maybe hang in there and catch VT and keep it close. VT is coming off two huge games where they tied UNC and Duke. In the UNC game they were up 2-0 and gave up two late goals. Against Duke played with 10 and nearly won in OT. Pitt women come off a win against Miami and didn’t look great, but did enough to close out Florida with a 4-0 loss to FSU and 2-0 win at Miami.
VT is no FSU, but they are a tough team and riding a big high right now that could make for an upset or tight one. Playing Saturday night at home. What say you?

The women had a real chance tonight. I think they owned VT in the second half but just couldn’t hang on or catch a break to score.

Wins aren't coming through right now in acc play but for the most part they've been competitive. In the past all of their games would be like the fsu game.

And they competed without Amanda West. I thought they dominated possession in the second half and had some chances that if Amanda were in they are finishes she would have. VT is a good team but beatable. They gave up 30 plus shots against UNC and almost won. They gave up nearly 20 shots against Duke, played a player down and still tied. VT is gritty, have a great goalie and two solid finishers that when given opportunities finish. The second goal was a nice pass, but a defensive breakdown that left the girl wide open in the middle of the box. Pitt plays a lot of underclassmen and that should show some future potential for sure.
