-We have completely shut down opposing teams 3 point shooting in our last 5 games, 3 of which are right in line with Top 100 RPI wins. 4 Teams have shot under 37% from the field against Pitt in the last 5 games.

I don't really follow the statistics and at this time of year they really lie, but I think our defense is a great deal better for one man reason. At this point in the season opposing guards are not blowing by our guards.

That has been a problem for years. Smith has been very solid on the defensive end. He has quickness and length. Robinson has been very solid. I have noticed he is gambling a little bit more this year because I think he thinks he can recover. Young, Artis and Maia are all average defenders and can't afford to help when guards come free.

Also where did the zone go? I for one am glad,it's gone.
