Spring is the time to try out players at different positions so the center shortage may not be such a bad thing.
Officer already has played it so giving lots of reps to potential replacements will show who can handle it. Better to sort it out now rather than at fall camp.

Agreed. Also, Officer has a history of injuries & centers take a beating so why not build depth now.
