I saw a tweet with this stat for NFL teams, so I figured I would do the numbers on Pitt's offense.

How many of the Panthers' drives this season have ended with a turnover or a punt?

I started by removing the end-of-half drives where time ran out and focused on drives that actually "ended."

- Of Pitt's 54 possessions this season, 34 ended with a punt (20) or a turnover (6 turnover on downs, 5 interceptions, 3 fumbles). That's 63% of the drives.

- Of Pitt's 45 possessions against FBS teams, 32 ended with a punt (18) or a turnover (6 turnover on downs, 5 interceptions, 3 fumbles). That's 71.1% of the drives.

The other 28.9% of Pitt's drives didn't all end in points (there have been missed field goals), but they at least ended with scoring chances. Not getting a scoring chance on 71.1% of your drives is how you end up with 7 offensive touchdowns across four games.
