Pitt is ranked at #22 with 237 points (we started #34 in PreSeason with 15 points).

Here are the teams within 150 points of Pitt in both directions in today's AP poll:
18 VT
19 LSU (PreSeason 5)
20 Florida (PreSeason 25 -- as high as 10 during season)
21 Iowa (PreSeason 17 -- as high as 13 during season)
23 Temple
24 Nebraska (PreSeason 37 -- as high as 7 during season)
25 South Florida (PreSeason 41)
UR Houston (PreSeason 15 -- as high as 6 during season)
UR Utah (PreSeason 28 -- as high as 11 during season)
UR Boise State (PreSeason 30 -- as high as 13 during season)

Those are our relative contemporaries right now. Considering 7 of them were ranked in the top-13 at some point this year, Pitt is doing a pretty good job peaking at the right time.

I'm disappointed in the coaches ranking but the reality is Pitt will be ranked at the end of the season and the beginning of next season in both polls if they win their bowl game. It's going to be very important Pitt wins this year's bowl game more than most years

Very impressive year for Pitt.

Really none of us at the start of year thought we would be 20 which we will be after the bowl

I think if we go 9-4 we'll show a good track record for closing out the season, beating two top 5 teams, close games with VT and OSU, and we'll move up to around # 20.
