Going to be a very interesting week. Pitt plays the 8th and 9th place picks from the CAA including a man partly responsible for the Pitt downfall. Had Jamie not hired Skerry, Birch doesn't come here and solid 4 year "Pitt-type" player doesn't decommit.
Capel needs these 2 wins because 3 of the next 4 are vs P6 teams and probable losses.
It would be nice to see local media do a piece on Skerry's time here and his thoughts on what went wrong with Pitt basketball. However, he'd probably just recite the usual talking points (ie couldn't recruit NYC kids anymore in ACC) but as I've said a million times the recruiting landscaped completely changed. Nobody plays HS basketball for their hometown schools anymore. They leave home for basketball factory schools so these kids are used to being away from home so their bball factory HC and AAU coach have as much or more influence than mom and dad.
