Never had a season end in such a fashion so the "closure" was different. The last time I drove home from DC after Pitt's last game of the season, it felt like someone died. This time, the feeling was completely different. I thought we'd sweat a little for the 4 Saturday bid stealer games but I thought we'd get in.
I'm just bummed I dont get to watch this team anymore. This may have been the most fun team to watch since 2009. Since then we have had a 3 seed and 1 seed and some bubble teams and take nothing away from 2010 and 2011 as extreme winning sure is fun also, but this team played an exciting brand of basketball. Yes, I'd rather go 26-6 ugly than 22-11 pretty but just saying this was just a fun team to watch. Really enjoyed the last 2 months. Was looking forward to seeing them play a few more games in the NIT for selfish reasons but it is what it is.
