I applaud every player on this team for their effort. They give everything they have on both sides of the ball.

These last two losses aren't on them. They rest squarely on the shoulders of the coaching staff giving them the best chance to win.

It's as simple as this...

When you play scared and NOT to lose, your team takes on that mentality and generally... you lose.

Several times the D made stops and the offense had a chance to put it away, but the lame conservative play calling lead to the demise of what would've been a superb, seasons changing win.

Is there a ban on throwing the ball in the middle of the field?

Also...No doubt the secondary couldn't cover Norm from Cheers if he were a receiver, so I can't understand why on 3rd/4th and long, you drop either bring the house or drop everyone back to the sticks and prevent the first down.

Just a deplorable loss. Numbing.

Groundhog Day.

There's another issue in my view as well. And I'll preface it by saying I've never coached or even played at a high level. But I think a coach has to put his players in position that gives them and the team the best chance to succeed. I think even though the offense is vanilla they're doing just that except for the conservative play calling late in the games. However on defense it's quite clear they're not. As someone else pointed out we never had top level lock down guys but passing D was never a doormat either. And right now they're doormats. There is no way they're equipped to play the style they're playing now. None.
