I agree Yarnell has 2 years in this system, he should be WAYYY more of a plug and play than CV. CV may have a higher ceiling but Yarnell should have a better grasp of the concepts

AND I DO NOT TRUST THE COACHES ON THIS, Look at the RB Decisions and how this whole Jurkcovec thing has been handled, look at the OLINE and Baer sitting early??? . Our coaches on the offensive side of the ball are baffoons as of late
Well Hammond has had nothing injuries this season which is why his usage has been more limited and Baer has looked worse at OT than Taylor and Goncalves so there is that...

Unless you're saying Carter and the other guys markedly better than Flemister?

Miami and FSU are back, and they're both using the transfer portal to remain relevant.

Louisville now has a great coach and is going all in on NIL.

UNC has finally reached a point where they bring in enough talent that they can't suck in spite of coaching flaws.

Clemson in Clemson, and they have also said they will start using the portal next year.

Virginia Tech and NC State typically recruit higher than us. As has Stanford been lately.

SMU donors aren't messing around.

I don't know. Maybe I'm being too much of a defeatist, but I'm just not liking how some of this is looking. The second you lose momentum, you risk becoming Virginia, BC, Georgia Tech, etc.

I'm sure BC never expected to be at this point when they were 8-4, 9-4, 8-5, 9-3, 9-3, 10-3, 11-3, 9-5, 8-5 from 2001 - 2009. But they're still wishing they could be in the same zip code as that success.

THIS! LINE OF THE DAY! Let me piggyback on that thought.....

That's why it's important to win every winnable game. We're not a blueblood that can have a bad season and easily bounce back. You can't give away games. This is something Narduzzi doesn't realize, but the alumni do.

If Pitt beats GT and Louisville last season we have 2 consecutive 11 win seasons. That keeps the momentum at full steam ahead. Right now, Pitt should be 4-1. It changes perception.

Narduzzi (Thursday presser prior to UNC game) and Peak and Hammett (yesterday's show joined by Noah Hiles) all referenced it. It's why his usage was low to start the season. Then ticked up v. WVU. Then ticked way up v. UNC before he left that game in the 3rd quarter due to injury. UNC game looked like his hand/wrist got stomped or twisted up. Prior to that it was a nagging camp injury. You can watch what I referenced of you'd like to hear it from Narduzzi or Peak, Hammet, Hiles though. Readily available on YouTube. I won't mention the exact injury from camp but it's out there on the pay board.

Both. Split halves and first-team reps in practice. See who emerges as the #1 for next year.

Give me Yarnell. Not because he'll have it figured out early, but because I believe he'll figure things out by season's end.
