Poor Nitters in an uproar tonight over Joe Knew shirts

It is funny but they are ignoring a very important fact. Under oath paterno said mcqueary told him something sexual happened. So the shirt is 100% factually true.

Now is it in good taste? Probably not and I would not buy one. But I have no issue with others that want to remind others of paternos own sworn testimony

For me, these people can actually believe that:

The most powerful man on campus, who basically ran this entire school, didn't know squat about anything going on with Uncle Jerry? And when it's admitted that he did find out, he did his part by telling the authorities about what he was told, so that's good enough in their eyes.

Hey, Joe told the authorities. But it's ok that despite him knowing these rumors, he stil allowed this monster to have his own building on campus and have unlimited access to children.

Creepy Valley indeed.

Getting a good chuckle reading tweets tonight between Pitt and Penn State fans over a Pitt Blog that has "Joe Knew" t-shirts for sale.

The denials and delusions of that fan base is mind numbing.
They want it swept under the carpet (again!) - as it was for all of those years. Well, I hope that Pitt fans won't allow that to happen.

I wish it was in Pitt script and in Pitt colors.

Read the thread over there, some amazing stuff. Multiple guys talking about putting Pitt fans in the hospital and another talking about urine filled water balloons.

All over a freaking t-shirt.

I saw on Twitter that some of them reported it to their AD at to Barnes as well. Ironically if Paterno would have reported what he knew to the police as quickly as they reported a shirt they would have a reason to be upset.
Truf - a bunch of freaks

I'm not even sure it's in that bad of taste.

The new TSHIRT out is JOPA would turn over in the grave knowing THE CARDINAL BARKER is at the helm of his Throne . Disturbing.

They rioted and flipped over a van when their enabling coach got canned. Would we expect anything different from that crowd?

The only thing that's different from them and WVU fans is that they have a few more teeth and a valid credit card.

I had one made for myself, the responses and looks are favorable, I did have nitter try and hit me with his van outside of the Giant Eagle in Irwin...

If the Peddstate nitwits think it is not true maybe they should make their own shirt made.. Paturdo didn't know with a Pinocchio nose...

You echo my thoughts on this. The shirt is factually true but I would not buy or wear it because I'm not a Sociopath. If someone makes a banner with that for a tailgate, OK, get a rise out of their fans.

It just seems a little weird to wear it unless you are a lifetime pot stirrer.

By the way, Pitt is not the first to display something like this at a game. The following schools have been merciless on PSU ignoring history:

Michigan
Michigan State
Ohio State
Rutgers
Maryland
Purdue
Indiana
Illinois
Northwestern
Wisconsin
Minnesota
Iowa
Nebraska

When I see 409, we are... That stirs my pot.

I just think the makers of the shirt are slightly askew here in that child were raped. If they are truly making them to raise awareness on that issue, more power to them. If they are doing it to get a dig at psu, just remember the true victims here.

Either way I don't care, but the venom being displayed by psu fans over this is classic and reminds the world of where their true priorities are

You know what's funny, in googling this I found an article questioning why Penn State was selling a shirt commemorating their 23-17 win over Syracuse in 2013. Why would they sell a shirt for that? Who would buy that?

I cant get onto the site. It looks like it may have been taken down. Some PSU group probably threatened legal action. That was quick. I'll have to make my own.

I believe you are correct. Imagine what any abused kid thinks when they see 409 or even just a Penn State Logo.

To this day, I get a little sick when I see someone wearing PSU stuff. I know they had nothing to do with any of this but it reminds me that an institution fostered an atmosphere that enabled boys to be raped. That is sickening and I don't like to be reminded of it. To me, the PSU logo is synonymous with child rape.

I'm struggling to see how it is "low class" when all it is doing is saying what the world knows and the Nitters refuse to believe.
It's just sick, I could never wear that! It's like the Steelers fans that wear purple "Ravens Suck" t shirts, I cant wear that! I personally can't wear negative fan gear.

It's bad enough buying one! LOL, You had one made? WOW! You are over the top obsessed with all this nonsense!

How about a "Duzz Didn't Know" shirt?
I couldn't wear that either! I could wear something positively supporting a team or a school, but hell no, nothing about a crime that is over and resolved with the perpetrator in jail! I'm looking forward to the Pitt/Penn State game, I only hope the fans take the high road and make it ONLY about football and leave the "Joe knew" stuff out of it, it will suck if that day is remembered for fights and rioting.

I totally agree. I have many friends that are Nitters and all of them have been humbled and honestly recognize Paterno was a flawed man but a great football coach. Im fine with that. I'm going way out of my way in a couple of weeks to bite my tongue and enjoy what we have in common and not take the bait on disagreements. I suggest the same for other's friendships.

As for the Joe deniers, I simply say Pitt does things the right way even when it's not convenient.

That would make a great t shirt!

I will also be civilized and not rub their dysfunctional noses int their own embarrassment.
