This kid was 10 times the H.S. player that Mitchell was. WAY more talented. Big and runs a sub 4.4. He was a true frosh last year and would have to sit a year at Pitt. I am familiar with him as I live in Michigan and keep an eye on the top HS football talent in the state. Cole is a legit stud, but he may have some between the ears issues. He had some disciplinary issues in HS, was ejected from a big game for multiple unsportsmanlikes. He has strong parents who are very involved (in a positive way) in his school and football decisions, and it will really be his dad who decides where he goes next. I know when Cole was being recruited his mom and dad emphasized academics a lot, so that would give Pitt an edge over UK for sure. That and the fact that Lexington sucks. UK is a garbage school, garbage football program.

I'll leave it up to the Coaching Staff's judgments, but nothing should motivate a Player or Recruit better than coming to a Program where he can prove the other program was wrong on him, Coach Pat & Staff seems to have such a Staff that can do just that and use the motivation to make them better with their focus on discipline and coaching them up!

I dont know... vegas is pretty negative in every post. I havent seen anything involving drugs on line about the kid, not saying it isnt true, just seems Vegas is always looking for the negative slant on a story.

We had heard persistent rumors all season that Cole was on thin ice after mounting violations of a thing that probably wouldn't have been a thing if it happened just once. Or twice. Insiders last summer thought he was already on the rails but around bowl practices it seemed he'd finally put that behind him. Apparently it happened again after/during the bowl trip, and Cole got the Kelly Baraka boot sometime before last week.

One thing is for sure. Pat Narduzzi was heavily involved in trying to recruit him to MSU. He is well versed in what this kid's potential is so if he wants him I am on board.

The kid's a beast. Better HS player than Hudson or just about anyone else we are recruiting. Big, strong, lightning fast. National top 100--not even Hamlin is in that league. I saw him play in HS, he's for real. The issues with him have all been attitude and character, which is weird becomes he has a very good, very involved family. He didn't redshirt at UN, they put him right to work but after a couple of games he was gone, with the only explanation being that he had an "undisclosed injury". Harbaugh moved Cole to safety before their bowl game, but he was vocal when he committed to UNMthat he wanted to play offense. Worth taking a chance on IMO, he has thre years of eligibility left and future NFL talent.

He's reportedly looking at Pitt, Kentucky, and both Arozona schools. Camt help but imagine our offense with big time players like Clark and Cole on the field in 2017. Throw in a Salomon and we could do some real damage. That's 3 5 star level skill players right there. Probably wishful thinking.

I see it another way, Vegas follows Recruiting so carefully and knows far more in what is happening, and is expressing his forthright opinion when he knows a recruit may not just commit to Pitt and looks into the reasons why. Vegas is trying to be accurate provide better info and that comes off as doubts at time, more than shouts, but Vegas post are very realistic.

Some less wiser Posters that seldom post anything of true content or know far less about Pitt thought Vegas was attacked when actually some just expressed doubts on Vegas doubts, and took the opportunity to attack based on their ignorance.

I like to be positive on the Lair about Pitt Program but sometimes one has to have doubts when they don't see everything going Pitt's way and Programs learn from failures as much as wins. Vegas doubts are realistic calculations about recruits coming to Pitt and I appreciate them, yet at times, that can make them look negative when they are in reality more realistic.

That is how I see it, and I like good football content even if it is not what I want to read or hear, like my own or you and others and Vegas. Good post with more info will always overcome those looking to run from their bad content or contradictions, or own hypocrisy on not knowing Pitt Football and have been made to look stupid hold grudges, so we can deal with them by exposing their poor posts.

We, you and Vegas can all can defend Pitt against the Posters that know far less, by showing it their ignorance and show how their lack of content is what is negative about their own post, while pretending to be true Pitt fans, and attacking others because they are upset that can't post good info!

Vegas is not one of those posters he is realistic and knowledgeable but it is just as fair to challenge his doubts and he does not mind it either, but Vegas is a true Pitt Fan, and smart one too, just like most on the Lair, it shows in his post's content!

Only a few trolls or less intelligent posters that can't post content get upset about Pitt Success and Vegas is not one of them, neither are you or me.
