In this slow time I'm a sucker for any college hoops ranking list; even if the TMZ of sports (BR) is the one producing it.

Our coach Dixon finds himself at #8; not bad for a guy who's been getting zero national media attention in past years. I thought for sure they would've forgotten him or lumped him in with the Honorable Mentions.

Separating coaching ability from recruiting ability, he may be the best pure coach on the list. The others are either at schools with a better basketball tradition or a slightly lower level of competition, or a combination of both during their careers. Dixon has been at a school that was never a traditional basketball power and faced Big East and ACC opponents from the start.
