I think so at this point. Hard to make an argument as things stand right now about 5 weeks out from selection Sunday that all 7 of those teams shouldn’t be in or don’t deserve to be in the tournament.
No. The ACC 12 needs to get better or we're going to be worrying about NET a lot while WVU may make it at 6-12.
yeah, these are not my projections. I stumbled accross a site while looking at various rankings.
teamrankings.com is maddening. They project us to go 14-6 with only a 39% chance to make the NCAAT. They project WVU to go 6-12 with a 71% chance. These bracketologists and teamrankings.com are using almost exclusively NET which is a Vegas predictor metric as we know. I tried to run back last year's picks to see how much NET was used but the best site I could find lists the Selection Sunday NETs but not the SOS's. It lists the Quad wins but the Quad ranks are AFTER the NCAAT. I just have a hard time believing the committee is using this Vegas metric like they used to use RPI but I have paid such little attention to this since Pitt started sucking that I dont know for sure.
