Exactly what I was thinking.
If he can make 3's and be a big upgrade over Smith, we might have something.
The new guys are always better than the old guys? Manigault will not be ready to play. I do not know enough about Clark, I do know that Clark was injured.
Dixon's lineup: Kithcart - Jones - Artis - Jeter - Young #6 C.Johnson, # 7 Luther, # 8 New PG ????
Its hard to know, given the rumors that some players might not be back. Could that be Artis, Wilson? IKN.
Would like to see Kithcart be ready go as a freshman, because I like his game, and what it could do for Pitt. If he can't win the starting job, then is is Milligan or Wilson who starts at the point?
I think the big JUCO kid plays alot at the 5. His size has been missing for several years.
I think Jeter remains the 6th man.

The JUCO kid is Nix. His physical transformation has been absolutely remarkable. He's still a big unknown but if he can play some good minutes it would certainly help.
Why is Kithcart for sure going to start as a Freshman PG in Dixon's system? Are we all just guessing we know he is good enough, can play ACC level defense, and handle the intensity and pressure Dixon puts on his PG's.
Nix, Jones, Wilson, Artis and Adoba-boba-qdoba(Dixon applying for a 6th year of eligibility because he now recognizes the guy has talent).
LOL - Adoba made Joe Uchebo look like Kareem Abdul Jabbar.
Its been reported by Matt on the pay board that Nix is a MAJOR project. To the point where fans should not be suprised if he doesn't contribute at all.

Shame. 1st I heard that. I was and still am rooting for the kid. It's clear he really busted his stones. He went from what appeared to be 400lb+ Mess in high school to a somewhat decent looking frame.
Isn't about time for Matt to tweet that Pitt will have many options during the late signing period?

Not a given that Young and Artis are back. Young is so delusional I wouldn't be surprised to see him declare for the draft and then shuttle off to Europe when nobody wants him. Artis is old and it's so obvious that he'll never be an NBA player that he should just go to Europe now.
The starting lineup next year will be:
PG - Kithcart
SG - Jones
SF - Artis
PF - Young
C - Luther
Jeter will be the first man off the bench ang get starter minutes.
Wilson and Cam will be next.
Manigault will be the 9th man in the rotation.
Nix and Milligan and Clark will be afterthoughts.
I wouldn't say Nix will be an afterthought just yet. I think it depends on if he is in game shape. He might surprise us.

Dont know what to expect from Clark. Dont know how good he will be coming back from injury. His stats were respectable, but not star stuffer type, but they were decent. He was considered a Top 3 guard in the country in juco before the injury per sporting news. He was a 35% 3 point shooter, nothing to brag about for a guard.

That is uncalled for, consider he never even played this year and started off injured. He is a Panther. No reason to be that unkind to a kid who really is excited to be here.
Lol I love it when you geniuses write off a guy like Clark before he even steps foot on campus .. He's a good player and better than any guard on our roster right now .. if he recovered well from his injury
If Damon Wilson improves I highly doubt a freshman starts over him. Also, Nix may be a dark horse candidate but I think he will push hard for the starting 5 spot. Really I think Young and Artis are the only guys who pretty much know they will be starting next year. I don't think a freshman will start at the 2 either, but that would still leave a competition between Cam and C. Jones.
