Przemek Karnowski for Gonzaga out vs Pitt

Out with Pneumonia, 7'1 280lb starting center, averaged 11 and 6 last year. Zags now have to replace Pangos, Bell, Wesley, and Karnoski, 4 starters from last year in the opener vs Pitt. We can beat this team and get a good win as long as our guards don't play at a D2 level. At this point Ill take the W vs a depleted team.

No way would I say Pitt should expect to beat the #9 team in the country. Him being out gives us a much better chance and new light to look at, but everyone on our team will still have to play to their full potential basically the entire game. Definitely possible, but would be a major upset.

I don't think anyone is EXPECTING we should beat Gonzaga. On the other hand, we probably have a better chance to beat Gonzaga in hoops then we did to beat ND in football. An upset is certainly possible and wouldn't be a total shock if it happens. But it certainly isn't an expectation.

Depends what he means. If he means the team should expect to win, then I agree. For fans it's different.

Downer. Don't wish on injury on anyone (or illness I guess was the rumor), but would've been a little bit of an easier task for us. As for the game, anyone who thinks we should be EXPECTED to win the game, well for one you're nuts, and secondly by those standards an Elite Eight berth would be disappointing. Gonzaga is gonna be really, really good this year.
