FIrst, you have no idea, as dont we, if Pitt is not self-sufficient, since Pitt does not release those numbers. But according to the numbers ope.ed.gov, Pitt IS self-sufficient.
OK, then as far as the same P5 schools. What are you trying to say there? Pitt has had the better schedule, and Pitt has the best OOC schedule next year.
1. Pitt's athletic department finances are public info contained in the Snyder Report. They don't make a press release but the numbers are available online. I have included the numbers for you.

2. My point was the reason why Penn State only plays one P5 school OOC is because they already play 9 as part of the conference schedule. Pitt plays two because they only play 8 conference game. I made no comment to the difficulty just pointing out both schools play 10 P5 Schools.
