at home...our neighbors are awakening...while we die a slow death.

I would hardly say PSU is awakening. Indiana couldn't hit an open shot in the final 5 minutes. They are still on pace for their typical 5-13 in the Big Ten.

Remember when Huggy ran off star scorers, Eron Harris and Terry Henderson? People thought it was the beginning of the end for him. Instead he "cleaned house" and brought in a bunch of tough SOB's who you hope you never encounter in a back ally. He rebuilt the roster and maybe he gets to his 2nd Final Four this year at WVU. What a coach!

Jamie needs to follow a similar strategy. Young, Artis, and Jones need to go.

well if 17-5 is a slow death then yeah I guess that's us. I understand it could easily be 17-7 after a week from today but that's life in a loaded power conference.

Watching Virginia yesterday was like watching Pitt from years ago. Once it got up to double digits in the second half I knew we had no chance of getting back into it. There's no shame losing to a team like that whether on home or on the road, they gave Louisville the same beating earlier.

As far as saying our neighbors are awakening you are correct about huggy & WVU but I think you're smoking crack if you think Penn State is awakening. They got their "token" feel good win of the year but it will be several years before they can begin to crack the upper half of the big 10.

For as bad as Pitt has been the past few seasons there are many fan bases (including the nits) that would give their left & right nads to have what we have right now.

WVU is a very good team.
Penn state is hot garbage who won a fluke game.
How about we win a fluke game like that once in a while! We don't seem "fired up" enough on game day to scare anyone! I have watched the Nitters on BIG10 channel and they atleast look like they want to win.

How many of those 17 wins are against decent to good teams? Our record is more of a reflection of just how putrid our non-conference schedule is then a testament to how good Pitt is.
A much better reflection of where Pitt is the past 5 years is our conference record, which is a 42-40.

Well there Skippy the Nitters beat a # 2 team that's the title of the thread. Pay attention I know its hard but atleast try.

The title of the thread is that Penn State beat Indiana. Indiana isn't the #2 team. After tomorrow Indiana is unlikely to be in the top 25. If beating North Carolina in a year that they finish 13th or beating a Notre Dame team that was 11th isn't impressive then why is beating an Indiana team that isn't even going to be in the top 25 impressive?

My point is the Nitter program isn't the PITT program so we should be getting some impressive upsets from time to time! When that crappy program beats a # 22 team its impressive.

Like at Notre dame?
Like beating Unc last year? Or a top ten Notre dame team?

Short term memory loss?

Well the ND game looks a lot better now after last night.

You guys can try to minimize the critics as much as you want but 7-24 against ranked teams since 2011. Like I said, we are Florida State or Georgia Tech. Just another program.

Well, that's not true ..
As their records are worse..

And nobody is arguing we haven't been more mediocre than good.
Mediocre teams lose to good teams more often than beating them.

This just took overreacting to a level I didn't even think possible.

Young and Artis need to go. Right

If we are such a great team....there wouldn't BE upsets. IU isn't even close to a top team. Trading on their brand name. I think they've played ONE ranked team this year.
