Wonder if he wished he picked to play for Croatia.

Also, little known Aron Johanson, with the incredible success Iceland has had, I wonder if he regrets choosing the USA

"playing in a WC final would've been pretty sweet but it pails in comparison to losing to trinidad and tobago on a middle school football field."

yeah, he regrets it.

Yea, you'd think that but Pulisic seems like a true American kid. It doesn't get any more "Murican" than growing up in Pennsyltucky. And he is further removed from Croatia (as I believe his grandparents were the immigrants) than a guy like Giuseppe Rossi who grew up in New Jersey to parents who were both from Italy. Rossi, who has only played in 1 major tournament (that I remember, give or take), you'd have to wonder if he regrets not choosing USA

I think Pulisic would have given Croatia hands-down the best midfield in the World Cup, with Modric and Rakatic. That midfield would give France a lot more problems than Croatia’s present midfield. All three of them are very capable on the attack. Rakatic doesn’t go forward that much for Barcelona, but he picks the right times to do it: He scores the first goal against Juventus in the Champions League final four years ago and he has scored the first goal in two El Clasicos against Real Madrid. Pulisic’s offensive ability would give both he and Modric more open space.

I don’t know if it still would be enough for them to win. I think France’s speed will be too much for them, especially since both of Croatia’s outside backs are mediocre.
