I was/am as excited as anyone for this season and the Austin Peay game was dominant in all facets of the game. But today was one of those games that we seemingly have at least 2 per year...and usually lose. Our defense is really, really good thank goodness. But we lose to most ACC teams if we play like that again. If I told you we turned the ball over in our own red zone and then driving inside their 20...missed two FG’s, punted terribly and had <350 yards of offense most of you would guarantee thst

However...

Kenny was just ok - the INT was a good play. Y the Cuse defender but can’t make that mistake in the red zone.

RB’s were held in check - I just don’t see Vince Davis as an every down, run between the tackles guy but he is fun to watch in space and tough as nails

WR’s had some drops but didn’t like so many lateral plays when we were really successful last week going vertical.

Krull was unimpressive - hopefully first game jitters.

Our OL struggled with their pressure although I will admit Dino mixed it up quite a bit.

Outside of Pinnock’s inexcusable 76-TD on 3rd and 11 and Alexandre’s penalty that likely cause a missed FG - our D was fantastic.

hopefully these guys come back to earth and played focused, mistake free, aggressive football next week. Amazing how much better my Saturdays are when we win!
