Mr. Browne will get a Head to Head matchup at home vs. Mr. Rudolph. Maybe he'll win it ? ( If HCPN gives up his stubborness "He this coverage worked in the FAT10 in the snow" and actually employs a modern day pass defense ? If not, Rudolph will throw for 1,000 yards again.)

That must be seniors only.

The two QBs out in LA will be the top two if they declare, which is not a given.

Rosen UCLA Junior
Darnold USC RS Sophomore

I just have to see the kid play. I mean he has little game film to judge him on. He'll be tested early. We'll see.

That's scary. What if he doesn't even win the starting job. Peole are judging him and are excited about base on a high school rating 5 years ago.
Most other good QB's in that class that were rated lower then him have gone or are on their way to the NFL after starting at least two seasons, and that includes Peterman.

I posted this not because I think Browne is the next coming of Marino but that national sports writers actually think highly of his ability. Competition for the starting QB is getting tighter...and that is a good thing. I also think having 2 QBs who can actually throw long with some accuracy will make our DBs better by going against these QBs in practice daily.]

browne being on that list is not a sign of his ability, it's lazy journalism. they saw senior QB on a P5 team and put him on there. I doubt who wrote that article did a lot of research on him.

Some of the names on this list don't even play. Jon O'korn was Michigan's 3rd string QB. He's awful. Cooper Bateman got beat out by a true freshman at Alabama...

Literally the only thing that could suggest Browne will even be a decent qb this year is a high recruiting rating 4 years ago. Projecting or predicting him to be a top 5 qb taken in the draft is pretty outrageous. I'm not saying it can't happen, but at this point, saying it is 100% a guess.

It is rather pathetic that a poster puts out a positive article, and some of you go Ron Cook on the guy. No wonder the Pittsburgh media trashes Pitt. The positive stuff gets trashed as well.

So you know for a fact that no CBS sports writer has been to a USC practice in the last 3 years?

lol, we did destroy this list of his. in all fairness, it deserved to be destroyed.

yes, I know it for fact, I even have a link as well as video documentation covering every hour of this writer's life over the last 3 years, proving that he has in FACT, never been to a USC practice..

I started a thread before last season about how Weah could have a break out year and was crucified. He had the physical abilities to excel and he had a great year. Did he catch every ball thrown to him? Of course not but he had a nice season.

Pitt fans are and will always be the biggest obstacle to the long term success of Pitt Athletics. Who needs enemies with friends like them?

I said the same thing about Weah before last year. I remember the bashing from this board as well.

I too was on the Weah bandwagon and I too, remember getting a lot of heat for it. we should pull up some of those archived threads, identify the posters who mocked us, call them out for it publically.. im dead serious too.

If a negative article is written - Pitt fans go off on the writer calling him a Nitter. If the article is positive - then Pitt fans mock it and look for ways to put holes in the article.

A lot of people are excited to have Browne and like his potential. It is quite telling that Pitt fans feel the need to constantly focus on the negative and look for ways to poke holes and mock a positive article.

Agreed, but it is the folks who don't care enough about winning who hold the program back. It is not the people who are realistic and actually follow and care about the sport.

Let's take 'em out back.......and make them buy us a cold one ~

Pitt fans should focus on making Pitt better, and stop being obsessed with PS. Pitt has a very good coaching staff in place, and things are moving in the right direction. This is the best position and most solid foundation Pitt has had since the early 80's.

It should be a very good QB competition.
FINALLY SOMEONE GETS IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When was the last time we had a true QB COMPETITION with a potential surefire NFLer in the mix? Not predicting where either will go in the draft or in FA. This is a good thing (oldpanther).

Agree on all, but not sure any of that applies as the issues here.

The list is just 2018 SR QBs and is a joke. It doesn't even have some guys at the right schools or positions and lists some 3rd string QBs. Hopefully Browne works out, if he starts or has to play.

The list is random - agreed. But Browne is on NFL teams boards. The success of Peterman and Savage are definite recruiting pitches that are being used effectively by our staff.

easy, I put in "Weah" and poster I put your name in and search.. go to the magnifying glass in top right, click it, put in a "search name" or identifier, then if you want to limit it, put in a poster's name or yourself.

Kind of a nice tool.
Good Job - Much better use of your time than posting another thread about PS like some of these toolbags on here.

If the list wasn't projecting wide receivers & grad transfers that either haven't even played or have only played sparingly as top draft picks then nobody would be "putting holes into it".

For goodness' sake, Jeremy Johnson lost his starting spot, then when that guy got hurt they played a juco transfer that couldn't hit water if he fell off a boat over him. John O'korn transferred & is a backup. Anu Solomon had a good freshman year & hasn't been healthy &/or productive since. It's not anti-pitt to say this list is bad.
