It doesn’t affect him other than all the people killed by illegals the fact that they are getting Medicaid to the tune of 12 billion dollars. Not to mention the free housing they are getting which also drives up housing costs.

I don’t happen to know any of the dozen or so people killed by illegals. Nor am I affected in any way by anyone collecting Medicaid or getting free housing. Every dime I pay in federal taxes goes towards purchasing toilet paper for a few public restrooms in our national parks and I’m fine with that.

Although you are right that Trump used the influx of illegals to appeal to US citizens afraid of the ongoing demographic shift in the US, the number of illegals pouring into the US under Biden was inexcusable and unsustainable. While diversity is one of the USA's hallmarks and strengths, we still need to be realistic about how many people our nation can absorb.

The fact is that during Obama's last year in office the US had less than 400,000 migrant encounters at the Southern border. By 2019, under Trump the number had more than doubled to almost 900,000. The pandemic brought those numbers way down for 2020. Obama also deported more illegals than Trump did during his first term. Biden was the outlier.
