I'm looking for a sense from the rest of you whether you see this board surviving in light of the changes that have occurred over the weekend. Granted....this is a slow time of year for Olympic sports but I still wonder what you think. I jumped on the TOS briefly to see what was there regarding non football or basketball chat.....not much.....something they are calling the Field House. Thoughts/reaction?

I’m waiting/hoping for Chris and team to launch their website. Then I’m crossing my fingers that you and the other VB guys (Chaos, Mike 412, FK Pitt, etc ) begin posting there. I get 90% of my Pitt VB info from you guys. Hope we can keep the team together.
I’ll get over there eventually I’m sure. But it’s probably going to take a big NIL battle that Pitt is engaged in and I’ll be over there trying to learn all I can.
As far as volleyball and Olympic sports(I’m a soccer guy too), I think this boards will stick around, @vantheman1976. I noticed the mods already deleted the one forum here that no one used. Given that they appeared to trim away that fat and left this one here, I’m inclined to think this one is here for the long haul.
I went to TOS… I’ve been with the former admins. for such a long time - wanted to follow them
I saw you posted a remark about the upcoming VB exhibition matches in April. My concern is that Olympic sports could end up as collateral damage from what just happened. I hope I'm wrong. I will be patient and hope for the best.
It will be fine there. This is a slow period for volleyball info. There just hasn't been much new to post.

Wasn't sure what you meant by "it will be fine there".....did you mean 'there' as the current board on Rivals or TOS now getting up and running? Have you made your mind up where you'll end up?
I was referring to TOS.
My Rivals' subscription runs to 1/26.
My TOS subscription runs to 3/26.
Therefore, I have no need to make up my mind now or in the near future. I am locked in long term for both sites.

I asked a similar question on TOS but never got a response. I may be a Johnny-come-lately to the Olympics Board but my interest in VB (and Soccer, to a lesser degree) had me standing a fair portion of my time here. I'm not planning on spending time at two sites so as long as this one continues to support the Olympics Board I am all in
Until I see the activity level change on the other board, I will be here. I love talking about volleyball. Anywhere there are Pitt Volleyball discussions, you will probably see me there.
The discussions regarding Olympic sports, and for many of us specifically volleyball, on Rivals have been driven by us users who post 90%+ of the up-to-date content. And on Rivals, the Olympic message board is free to all to read and post.
The message board for volleyball on TOS is called "The Field House" and it is also free to all. Because it is new, there has only been one thread started for volleyball to date.
If the publishers of one of these two sites starts to consistently post volleyball content, that is where most users will gravitate to and add content.
If this doesn't happen and volleyball content continues to be almost exclusively user driven, I am content to use Rivals, as if nothing has changed (because for us here, it really hasn't).
Do you guys agree that until TOS' publishers start to consistently add meaningful volleyball content, we all agree to stay here for our volleyball postings and discussions?

I am really just a consumer of the volleyball discussion, not much of a creator, but I have come to greatly enjoy this board. It would be nice if the publishers spent just a little time and effort on volleyball, but if not I will be checking in here to read whatever gets posted, with much appreciation.
