Here in the desert, Mark Davis fired McDaniels and the GM Ziegler. I think this is Davis’ 8th coach in two decades.

You knew McDaniels was a bum when he gave up the Detroit job a decade ago or so and went back to being Beli’s lap dog.

The NFL really cannot judge coaching talent at all.

Like father, like sone I guess. Just can't run an NFL frachise. Maybe Jr. can pick a 5th round WR in the top 10 next season?

firing McDaniels was the right move, and I agree he should have never been hired in the first place, just win baby!!!

The Raiders are one of the most mismanaged teams in pro sports. Of their last 7 first round picks, only 2 are still on the team (and the 2023 guy isn't even playing rotational snaps). 3 of them aren't even in the NFL anymore.

I don't feel the least bit bad for Davante Adams and his frustration with their QB situation. It's not always about the money, kids!

In all honesty, yeah he got paid. It was about playing with his friend D. Carr who was the QB. They pissed him off when they traded him away.

There's a local franchise that isn't dong much better with the draft.
I get your point but I think that you can make the case that the Steelers recent drafts (all of 2023, Pickett/Pickens, Alex Highsmith, Diontae Johnson) are pretty good. Plus Najee and Pat F are at least NFL starters, even though I thought they were terrible uses of value.

If he didn't get the full inside scoop on how dysfunctional the Raiders are from his friend that that's either a bad friend or Adams isn't very smart.

I like Adams as a player but there are certain teams you just don't sign with as a big money free agent because they are train wrecks. I wouldn't sign with the Pirates either. He made this bed for himself.

The Raiders would've been better off keeping that last coach who was an interim after Gruden got whacked. He had them looking like an NFL team at least.

Agree that he made the bed. As we see all the time nowadays, forcing a trade isn’t that hard or even frowned upon.

McDaniels is not a good coach at all and neither is his OC. How can you have one of the best WR in the league and only throw in his direction one time in the first half? Good for the Raiders.

A lot of you seem certain that both Canada and Cignetti departures are sure things. With those two orgs, though not remotely for the same motivations, these things are anything but certain

Someone should point this out to Rooney, it's not against the rules to fire a head coach. it's totally legal.
