This was a fun exercise last week, so let's do it again. Here's my ranking of the ACC teams heading into the weekend.
Last week's ranking in parentheses.
1. Miami (1)
2. Clemson (2)
3. Pitt (3)
4. SMU (8)
5. Louisville (4)
6. Virginia (11)
7. Georgia Tech (7)
8. Syracuse (10)
9. Duke (5)
10. Boston College (6)
11. Cal (9)
12. Virginia Tech (15)
13. Stanford (12)
14. North Carolina (13)
15. N.C. State (14)
16. Wake Forest (16)
17. Florida State (17)
Obviously the big jumps were SMU going from 8 to 4 and Virginia going from 11 to 6. Meanwhile, Duke and Boston College tumbled a bit after their losses.
I did terrible at picking games in the ACC last week, so let's do it again.
These picks are all against the spread.
No. 10 Clemson (-20.5) at Wake Forest
Georgia Tech (-4) at North Carolina
Stanford at No. 11 Notre Dame (-22.5)
Cal at No. 22 Pitt (-3)
Louisville (-7.5) at Virginia
Syracuse (-3) at N.C. State
I picked these games on the Morning Pitt Mailbag, so I think this is what I said. The one I can't remember for certain is the Louisville-Virginia game. I think Louisville should cover that, but I also think Virginia might be a little better than we thought. I don't think the Cavs will win, but they might keep it closer than a touchdown. I'm not sure about that one.
I think the others are definite locks, though, so place your bets accordingly.
Let's hear your rankings and game picks.
