After losing my mind over the complete disaster that was the PSU game Pitt looked better today despite losing in the end.
I focused on player rotation today compared to the first few games. Some players like Stewart Boykin and Peace played very few minutes and for good reason. These three are complete liabilities on the court especially in terms of defense rebounding turning the ball over basic dribbling skills lol yeah.
Let’s just say that Pitt decides to keep stallings around for another season.
In my opinion Stallings needs to take a long hard look at his 7 freshman and decide who can really play at this level and who cannot.
I’m not saying run guys off to run them off now to be clear. But if Stallings can effectively recruit players that are better then the ones who currently look like D-2 players then it’s a must.
I think we can all see that some of these freshman show flashes of being decent players. Stallings or whoever the coach is needs to find a way to build off of that with the next recruiting class.
