Pitt isn't the job it used to be. I hate saying that, but it is the reality of the situation. Sean Miller is the best coach available, but may have baggage to deal with. Pitt needs a proven coach, and Miller needs a change of scenery. Even if Miller has a show cause, we would be crazy not to hire him and stand by him while he serves whatever penalty he brings. Pitt just went 0-19 in the ACC/ACC tournament, so we have nowhere to go but up. Pitt has a chance to catch lightning in a bottle and bring a high profile coach in to right the ship. Will it be easy? No, but you need to honestly assess where we are right now. Pitt isn't the team it was 10 years ago, so when you get a shot at a difference-making coach, then you grab him without hesitation. Jamie Dixon was underappreciated, and Pitt has now seen what happens when you bring in a bad coach. Sean Miller is a winner and anyone that can't see his quality vs all the other candidates is either blind or a troll. Pitt needs Sean as much as Sean needs Pitt. Please stop hounding Matt for info and let the process develop. Heather is the right person to make this hire, so let's trust her to make the right decision. Whether it is Sean or not, I will back whoever she hires 100%. Hate me if you like, but I only want what is best for Pitt.
